Gilroy Gardens

We went to Gilroy, CA a couple of weekends ago to the Gilroy Gardens amusement park. It was the Ebay crowd and their kids. We had a great time.

Parker on the Merry Go Round

Me and Andria on the Merry Go Round

Parker enjoying new friends and a tilt a whurl.

Swan Lake. a very very green lake. but pretty.

our start of the ferris wheel.

View from the wheel

Little did I know that James is terrified of the Ferris Wheel.

And of course I had to make fun of him the whole time for it.

view from the top

This was a very cool palm tree in the butterfly garden. The butterfly garden was missing one important thing....butterflys.

End of the day. Parker has on a bathing suit because there was a water park there too.

Fun times.

And my favorite...California poppies.

Fathers Day!

James got a new grill for Father's Day and Parker helped cook!

The spatula has DAD written in it.

Hot Dogs! I said a Beef Hot Links.....

Parker cooked the beans.

Father and Daughter. She is such a daddies girl.

Toothless!

This is our trip to San Francisco last week. We had such a great time. The pictures are not really in the order that I made them, but it doesn't matter. San Fran is called "the city" by the locals here and is everything you think it is. WONDERFUL!

A WW II submarine! James and Parker went on the tour, but I stayed land bound. There was no way I was going under the water in a submarine!

James and Parker on deck!

I assume that everyone who lives here is A) Very wealthy, and B) feels like they live in the movies everyday. It looked exactly like what you see in movies and on t.v.

This is from the top of "Twin Peaks". It's a panoramic view of San Fran from up there. It was also very cold.

We went to the Fisherman's Wharf. We got to see all the sea lions. I've heard that it's good when there's sea lions. They usually leave a month before a massive earthquake! Lucky Lions!

The family with Alcatraz in the back. I kept telling James, "I can't believe i'm looking at Alcatraz!"

The view from the restaurant we ate at.

I will return!

Random

Random things from the past couple of days.

Nothing says California like sunshine and Palm trees!

The Peace Garden at the museum. It was o' so very Magritte.

James being silly and disrupting the shot.

The moon looked much bigger in person. This is across the street from our house.

This is our street. Complete with Bike Lane!

Hello Saratoga! Hello Wine!

Best donut. Theres a donut cafe about 2 minutes walking distance from here. Parker and I went to check it out....goooooooood!

We also got chocolates for her from See's Candies. Free samples!

This is the worst food we've eaten so far. It was at an "Italian" place. I had to send mine back. Parker wasn't about to puke, but it looked like it. I think the photo sums up our experience.

King Tut on a rainy California day.

Parker and I decided to do some exploring today while James had a very long day at work! We ate breakfast at a great place in downtown Campbell called "Stacks". While we were eating it started pouring down rain. More than I have seen it rain thus far! We hurried to the car and headed to the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum here in San Jose. It was great, although today was field trip day and there were about 160 little private school kids running around! We had a great time and Parker learned a lot about Egypt and the wonders of mummification! Ok, well she mostly said "ew" to everything. The museum is about 15 minutes from our house. Now to talk her into going to the haunted Winchester House! Here's some pics from the day...
(btw, it stopped raining when we got done and the sun came out for about an hour)

Parker after the sun finally came out! Notice the Yale shirt...gotta get a Stanford one!

Pretty big Museum!

This is for my sister Deilia who LOVES owls!

Hey mom, there's a dead guy in there.

King Tut...Fancy

Killer Stove!

So I started to cook our first real meal in our new house the other night and the stove tried to kill me. I had 3 pots going and all of a sudden there was a very loud pop and a ball of blue flame. I almost pee'd myself. The landlord is sending an electrician. phew. Here is the scene off the crime...complete with burn mark on the wall. I shall never cook again....it can kill you!!!! ha ha ha.

Pics of the house

Parkers very pink bathroom
Dining room
Our fireplace. It needs some do dads.

We're still in the middle of unpacking mounds of boxes, but I decided to go ahead and post a few pics of the new place.
